Nearly every mom-and-pop convenience store near a lake in Wisconsin or Minnesota carries a good selection of slip bobbers. Yet these useful tools are far less common in Michigan, although they work for every species from panfish to walleyes. That might be because more people in those states fish inland lakes for walleyes, especially with live leeches. But I've found slip bobbers work perfectly with everything from worms to artificial jigs.  more...
