Sailing Grows at the Boating & Outdoor Festival

Livonia, Mich., September 5, 2012 – With more exhibitors and more sailboats than the year prior, sailing participation is growing at this year’s Boating & Outdoor Festival and in the entire Great Lakes region as well.

At this year’s Boating & Outdoor Festival, a special sailing section will features boats from 6ft to more than 35 ft. in length, including Hartley Boats, Sunfish, Laser, Hobie Cat, Catalina, Hunter, J-Boats and more.  Also included in the sailing section will be model sailboat regattas, seminars, sailing schools, and new product introductions.

“Small boat sailing is coming back,” said NP Boats Nick Seraphinoff.  “It is very popular in England and the popularity is spreading here in the states again.”  NP Boats is bringing to the Festival four newly designed Hartley boats including a very popular redesigned Wayfarer.  “The advantages of small boat sailing means you don’t have to scramble to find a crew.  Your family is your crew,” said Seraphinoff.  more
