Boats that Plato might appreciate

About 2,400 years ago, the Greek writer Plato decided that the things we see around us are only imperfect manifestations of ideal forms that exist in another realm. So when we see, say, a deer, it's just a flawed version of the perfect form of deerness.

I usually don't give Platonic concepts much thought in daily life, but the old boy's ideas came to mind when I saw the line of Parker boats at the Detroit Boat Show.  more...
